"Global Innovator" Fast Pitch Video Contest

"Your Voice Matters. MAKE IT HEARD!"

YOU are invited to share your vision with the world---with a call to action to get it funded!

Through this social innovation video contest (powered by FORA.tv), The Global Summit invites citizen-direct input to shape real-world solutions to real-world problems

Igniting localized action around the year, The Global Summit will launch a video contest where virtual participants around the world can submit their vision for action around one of the 5 key Topics in The Global Summit.

The first winning round of 25 videos will be selected by Global Delegates of The Global Summit from each of the 5 Solution Councils.

For each topic, the 5 most compelling Global Innovator videos will be posted for public voting (total of 25). The 5 winners will get center stage on The Global Summit / Fora.tv video page where the public is able to contribute to winners' initiatives. ALL 5 WINNERS WILL RECIEVE:

1) A fundraising platform and US nonprofit status for your social innovation with Six Months on Contest Video Homepage *95% of donor income will be directed to project through Empowerment WORKS, a 501c3 nonprofit.

2) A LogicWireless hand-held computer phone with the latest projector technology.

3) Full Scholarship to The Global Summit III where you will report your impact in 2012.

**Privacy Policy: Participant identity and contact info will be kept private, and will never be sold or shared by The Global Summit or producing organization, Empowerment Works. Participants may opt out at any time.

Information from surveys will contribute to understanding of local needs, interests, and passions of your geographical area and demographic information that participants provide.

2) Upload a 1 to 2 minute video to your own page on YouTube with a focus on one core Topic.

1. Beyond Climate Change: Oceans, Bio-diversity & the 6th Great Extinction

2. Redefining Human Security: Women's Health, Child Development & Hunger

3. Conflicts of Scarcity: Environmental Resources, Population & Human Rights

4. Guarding our Freedoms: Speech, Press, Self-Governance & Technology

5. Shifting Economies of Scale: Local Currencies, Global Markets & Bio-regional Trade

-Videos must be clear, focused and audible and in English, or containing English subtitles if in another language.

-Videos may not exceed more than 2 minutes (120 seconds) in duration. Videos may normally range from 1 minute.

-Videos must correspond to the category you've selected and must be relevant to the topic at hand.

-Videos with offensive or obscene content -- i.e. innapropriate for all ages -- will not be considered.

-Videos may not include copyrighted or trademarked material such as copyrighted music, film, images or television programs without consent from owners / creative agents of owners.
