2 Day Action Tank Summary:
On day one (Nov 17), we will
be inspired by keynotes, explore best practices and unique strengths
of six primary social and economic sectors in building a sustainable
world. Outcome: 5 guiding principals for each PIE (Partners In Empowerment
Sector) as the foundation for a mutually supportive and collaborative
global operating system.
On day two (Nov 18), we will
co-create powerful initiatives honoring the unique mission, expertise
and resources of each to achieve an impact greater than the sum of our
parts. Outcome: Integrate the goals, needs, vision, talent
and insights from all participants into collaboration roadmap report
for 2009 and beyond.
NOTE: Be prepared to be
hands-on and have your voice matter! The Global Summit's outcome
driven BreakTHROUGH sessions are guided by expert Co-Chairs
and facilitators to provide a transformative, hands-on learning experience

technology on how grassroots input will contribute. 2) Intersection

Policy Action Sessions/
policy making system – Applying advances in communications technology
and conflict mediation, TGS’ voluntary commitment forums unite globally
elected civil society representatives from 6 PIE sectors with grass-roots
stakeholders. Agreements made will be showcased on 1PIE Portal. Focus/Outcome:
Ensure the voices of those most affected by climate
change, AIDS, and poverty are heard.
Sustainable Technology Expo
– Demonstrate cleanest and greenest appropriate technologies
in energy, health, agriculture, transportation, etc. to businesses,
public representatives, and international development organizations.
Focus/Outcome: Disseminate what works best to
where its needed most - channel investments to develop best products
to economies of scale.
SEE Change Forum –
Social, economic, & environmental visionaries empower diverse
sectors of society (Social Entrepreneurs, Collaborating Non-profits,
Educational Institutions, Sustainable Businesses, Responsible Media
Groups, & Artists in Action) to co-create a healthier, culturally
rich and bio-diverse world. Focus/Outcome:
Participants in 2009 have skills & tools to implement ongoing
multi-sector collaborations with extended network throughout the year.
A-list Concert & Culture
– For millennium, artists have been the catalysts of lasting
social change. TGS will feature one major A-List concert broadcast
worldwide, complimented by additional art installations, short films,
and theatrical dance performances throughout. Focus/Outcome:
Harness creative power to inspire global awareness
and localized action.
1PIE Global Collaboration
Portal – During annual events, 1PIE will support real-time
global access (and input). Around the year 1PIE is the follow up plan,
showcasing impact and implementation of promises made in Policy Action
Sessions showcasing members with greatest social and environmental
impact. 1PIE unites members in local programs through joint needs
assessments, evaluations and shared resource platforms. Focus/Outcome:
Align goals of existing online portals in collaboration architecture.

Forum

community to exchange outcomes, new visions and advance partnership
strategies for TGS 2009!

way communities, local governments, corporations and nonprofits communicate,
build consensus, achieve goals, and change their world.
